I really enjoyed the games but I also really loved learning about the culture of the Deaf community. I have never realised or thought about the community having their own culture aside from their language, but it was interesting to learn things such as what is and isn't acceptable etc. It was especially helpful learning this from someone who is part of the community as I know that she is a trustworthy source.

Sarah is a great teacher and I loved how she adapted terminology for our class and what we were interested in. As well as the games, they were great ways to practice and refresh! Absolutely loved everything!

Sarah is a wonderful teacher, really supportive even outside of class time through her email communication. She goes at the perfect pace and has a really approachable and engaging teaching style. It is a pleasure to learn with her 🙂

Sarah has prepared an extremely comprehensive Auslan course, containing many games and activities, theory and background on culture and technology, as well as making it fun and inclusive. Her course exceeded my expectations and I have gained so much knowledge from it.

I enjoyed every aspect of the class and think Sarah is a great teacher. She engaged with everyone and was always well prepared, and she would often make jokes too which created a fun and light environment despite the classes being online.

Sarah is such a kind, friendly and overall amazing teacher. She not only teaches you how to sign but also about the culture, community and the history of Auslan. These classes have fun games to help you learn and plenty of opportunities to practice signing with others that are on the same level as you. If you're interested in learning more about Auslan Sarah's lessons is a great way to start.

Sarah did a great job explaining the history of Auslan and its use today in society. She made the classes super fun and made the words + their context + use easy to remember. Sarah was great at making sure everyone has the correct handshape, orientation and movement of the signs 🙂

I always enjoyed learning about the application of the signs and how to inflect them. Sarah did a great job of explaining how different signs could be used.

Sarah really catered for my insecurities/anxiety. I love the way she was so in tune with what everyone was saying, signing and thinking at the same time. Always kind and friendly and she made sure everyone feels okay about their attempts. Never made anyone feel insecure or silly.

Sarah was absolutely brilliant. Her teaching tools and games were absolutely wonderful - really creative and fun, and perfect for our level. She's also a really generous teacher - it was never scary to not know the answer, because even if we didn't get the points, she'd make sure we learned.
