Content:
Level 5 will be a completely voice-off, immersive experience with all instructions given in Auslan, fingerspelled, or written on the whiteboard/chat. As a result, this level will focus on depth rather than breadth. It may take a little longer to do each activity as you use Auslan-only (or written/typed English) to clarify instructions and share information, but this will help you have a more authentic experience and will really consolidate your learning.
By then end of Level 5, you will feel competent to continue on to future levels, which will all continue to be voice off, increasing your receptive skills and thus gradually increasing the speed with which new vocab and concepts can be introduced.
We will have several other Deaf guests join us in various weeks thereby increasing your exposure to variation (regional, age, gender, abilities, etc).
Unfortunately, due to family circumstances, Term 4 classes have been postponed. Please contact me or check back in December for potential summer courses or for Term 1, 2023 details.
